RISE

Key Accomplishments

​

  • Supported Oregon Health Care Commission (OHCC) course and schedule reviews, including preparation for the April 7, 2025 review and course evaluations conducted in February 2025.

  • Led and supported OHCC course reviews for Ethics, Laws, and Professional Boundaries; Supporting a Consumer with Medication; and Supporting Consumers with Toileting, ensuring regulatory alignment and instructional quality.

  • Collaborated with Interpro to translate the latest version of New Worker Orientation (NWO) into Spanish, expanding equitable access for preferred-language learners.

  • Managed LMS implementation and deployment, uploading 17 courses since January 2025 to support timely learner access and program rollout.

  • Advanced NWO 3.0 evaluation efforts, completing three of seven evaluation projects, including collaboration with the LMS team, trainers, and Qualboard and external vendors to gather learner feedback and performance insights.

New Worker Continuing Education

  • Designed and developed a broad portfolio of Continuing Education (CE) courses across ADL, MED, MNT, SFT, COM, ILC, ENM, and IDD domains to support workforce readiness, safety, and compliance.

  • Developed CE content addressing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including Bathing and Personal Hygiene, Dressing and Grooming, Toileting, Dating and Sexuality, and Supporting Community Integration.

  • Created mental and behavioral health coursework covering PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Dementia, Mental Health Awareness, and trauma related to misdiagnosed or undiagnosed chronic illness.

  • Produced medical-focused CE courses on Medication Support, Heart Disease and Stroke, Arthritis, Communicable Diseases, and related health conditions.

  • Developed safety and compliance training including Fire and Electrical Safety, Crisis Intervention and De-escalation, and Safe Handling of Aggressive Behavior.

  • Designed communication and professional practice courses such as Trauma-Informed Care, Ethics and Professional Boundaries, Non-Verbal Communication, Self-Care and Stress Management, and Oregon: Our Shared Home (Immigrant Education).

  • Contributed to introductory coursework supporting work with child consumers and employer representatives, strengthening role readiness and regulatory understanding.

ID Cohort

This cohort was designed to deepen understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design, and RISE’s approach to training implementation. It was a highly positive and collaborative experience, and I consistently looked forward to our monthly meetings, where participants shared insights and provided constructive feedback to strengthen our work.

The following two courses were created within Canvas and are displayed in PDF format. The final course was developed and delivered in a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) environment.
